YOUR WEEKLY HOROSCOPE FOR THE WEEK OF MAY 7-13, 2018
BY STARGAZER BLES: ORACLE TO THE ANGELS AND THE DIWATAS
RX: MY READINGS ARE GOOD MEDICINE.
Week of May 7-13, 2018
Dear Tribe of Stargazers: Mabuhay! The asteroid Chiron has entered Aries around two weeks ago and will stay there for the next seven years. Chiron, named after the fabled half-man, half-horse, or centaur, from Greek mythology, symbolizes both our woundedness and healing. In Aries, Chiron will most likely help us discover what we ourselves have contributed to our own trauma. Chiron will also help us come to terms with the masculine-feminine balance in each of us, regardless of our declared gender preference. The energy of Chiron in Aries is that of developing benevolent strength and enlightened self-healing. Enjoy the next seven years of communing with the Chiron in Aries in your internal and external universes!
REMEMBER, MGA KA-TRIBU, I AM AVAILABLE FOR PAID READINGS and I would really appreciate your business. You can PM me for astrology and oracle card readings. The full, 30-minute card reading is Php 999.99 or (1,000). For my USA clients, it’s $25/15 minutes. **********REVISITING THE CONCEPT OF MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES**********
Everyone agrees that if we have the ability to understand and manage our emotions (the so-called “EQ” or emotional intelligence), then that ability can come in very handy indeed. But then, not everyone thinks that this is a type of intelligence. Some scientists prefer to use the word “intelligence” only for the kind of mental ability that involves proficiency with words, ideas, and numbers. These scientists say that other abilities like EQ may be nice talents to have but that these are not really forms of intelligence.
However, many experts have held a different view since around the 1980s, especially since Howard Gardner wrote a book on the theory of multiple intelligences, and then Daniel Goleman popularized the term in 1990s. They say that there is actually more than one way to be smart. These experts believe that intelligence can take several forms and that they are all equally valid. Gardner, a professor of education at Harvard University, has suggested that there are nine different forms of intelligence. The first two below relate best to EQ:
1. Interpersonal intelligence – the ability to understand the feelings and goals of other people (people smart)
2. Intrapersonal intelligence – the ability to understand your own feelings and goals (self smart)
3. Linguistic intelligence – the ability to use words well (word smart)
4. Logical-mathematical intelligence – the ability to think logically and use numbers well (number/reasoning smart)
5. Spatial intelligence – the ability to create mental images to solve problems (picture smart)
6. Musical intelligence – the ability to recognize and create musical pitches, tones, and rhythms (sound smart)
7. Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence – the ability to use the mind to coordinate the body’s movements (body smart)
8. Naturalist intelligence – the ability to recognize different plants and animals (nature smart)
9. Existential intelligence – the ability to tackle questions of why we live and why we die (life smart)
Another expert, Robert Sternberg, who is a Yale University psychologist, has proposed that there are three parts to intelligence. Practical intelligence is the ability to understand and solve real-life problems; it is similar to common sense or “street smarts.” Analytical intelligence is the ability to analyze ideas, solve abstract problems, and make decisions. Creative intelligence is the ability to go beyond what is known to come up with new and interesting ideas.
Major takeaway from all of the above: We have all been blessed by our Creators with intelligences (plural). This I firmly believe. No matter what zodiac sign, Astro Trio, Myers-Briggs or Enneagram classification you possess, at least agree with me that you were born intelligent in more than one life area – and thank Divine Spirit for that! Now I exhort you, mga Ka-Tribu, to use your God-given intelligence in ways that benefit not only you and your family, but your bigger community as well.
Yes, this may be the brief seven-year age of Chiron in Aries indeed. We may struggle for a while with insecurities (Chiron) about how much we know (Aries= head, mind), but by the end of the initiation period we will be healing our own woundedness by balancing what we know and act upon (masculine) and how we feel (feminine).
Thank you, Salamat, Namaste, and Blessed be!
