The Metaphysical Ravenℒ️ by Stargazer Bles

THE METAPHYSICAL RAVENℒ️ by STARGAZER BLES

Background info: Lately I’ve been seeing quite a a few individual ravens in my walks around the neighborhood. What could this mean for me? Good thing I have at least two relevant oracle decks with which to get clarity on these “birdly” 🐦 visitations.

A comparative analysis of THE RAVEN power/archangel animal as pulled from a couple of different oracle decks: “Power Animal Oracle Cards” by Steven D. Farmer, Ph.D. (Hay House, 2005) & “Archangel Animal Oracle Cards” by Diana Cooper (Hay House, 2019)

In Farmers’ deck, as you can see in.the photo, the key word is “Magic,” with the key phrase,”Own your Power.” Oh dear, I realized I just capitalized Power… due to an inner prompting just now for me TO HONOR πŸŽ– the Divine Feminine.

Anyway, in the accompanying guide book, Farmer opens the Raven spiel with this: “Trying to keep yourself little by denying your power so you won’t be a threat to anyone merely keeps you in a false bubble of safety.” He then goes on to say, “You’re more powerful than you think you are, so it’s time to stop pretending.” He cites a couple of examples to signify that you’re just wasting your talents with parlor tricks like “manifesting” convenient parking spaces or knowing when a certain someone is going to call.

However, there is no need to preen about your phenomenal talents. According to Farmer, “Let (your powerful magical ✨ talents) serve you, but mainly be of service to others — whether human, animal, plant, or mineral.”

So stop doubting already. With the right mix of faith, focus, and intention, own your Spirit power, a force that can move mountains β›°. Use your gifts 🎁 to make this world 🌎 a better one for all sentient beings.

On the other hand, in Cooper’s deck, the Raven is the harbinger of change, urging you to be prepared for it. The Raven is associated with Archangel Azriel (the Angel of Birth & Death) and Archangel Bhokpi (in charge of the bird 🐦 kingdom).

In Cooper’s oracle lore, like us people, “animals , birds 🐦, insects, fish 🐟, and reptiles… originate from different stars 🌟, planets, and universes. Like us, they all have a soul purpose ✨ and a service mission.”

The Raven’s soul mission is to urge people and animals towards enlightenment. If you see a single one of these birds 🐦, like I’ve been seeing, then it is prompting you to “watch out for unexpected change, or it may be telling you to raise your consciousness before you draw something unwanted to you.”

So set pure intentions so that you attract good things ✨ into your life. You have the skills and talents πŸ‘ enabling you to overcome πŸ’ͺ obstacles in an adroit and even unconventional way. Although the Raven “warns” you of sudden change or transition into something πŸ€” unexpected and new, it also does reassure you that you have all the help and support you need for the transition ahead.

In effect, the Raven as a Power Animal is a call to action in terms of magic and owning your power, whereas the Archangel Raven prompts you to prepare for any unexpected change. While Cooper’s Archangel Animal deck may seem more “out there” with its channeled talk of Archangels, it’s still as easy to grasp as Farmer’s more “practical” take on the Raven based on ancient and indigenous peoples’ traditions worldwide 🌐.

Kuan Yin-Isis 1/18/2020

Cards of the Day: KUAN YIN and ISIS

Kuan Yin: The Tao. Isis: Truths Unveiled. The Revelation of Isis.

Kuan Yin, Bodhissatva of Mercy and Compassion, is gently imploring you that in respect to a certain person or situation in your life right now, it is for the highest good of all to go with the flow rather than swim against the tide. Tears, you say? Then let them flow gently, for a great cleansing within you is confluent with The Tao. A difficult situation, you say? Then let things unfold as they may, for your meddling ego is a puny force against The Tao of this external event. A volcano erupting, you say? Then let the ash and lava flow down with gravity according to The Way, respecting the mighty underworld forces seeking violent expression to disrupt seemingly dormant, outdated, and irrelevant structures crying out for change. After the cleansing, after respecting the flow – then you should, with great compassion in your heart like Kuan Yin, implore Divine Spirit for a better, more systematic, and sustainable tomorrow.

Isis, the High Priestess of Light, insists that truths be unveiled. Isis herself was betrayed by her own brother Set when he murdered her consort Osiris. She counsels you to trust your instincts about a person or situation in your life right now. If your intuition is telling you that someone or something does not compute, then listen to that, even when it concerns someone you trust who could turn out to be a snake in the grass. The truth may hurt, but the truth unveiled eventually sets you free. Accept the flow, accept the pain, yet going forward, let your Higher Self guide you about the best course of action to take.

Prayer: Om mane padme hum. (“May the heart awaken with divine compassion and may I know myself to be an awakened being of light.”)

Affirmation: My Higher Self, mind, body, and heart know the way to seek the truth and act for my highest good and the highest good of all.

Freyja

Card of the day: FREYJA – Goddess of Beauty

Love. Beauty. Art. Acknowledge the power of beauty.

We usually associate the Norse goddess Freyja with love, beauty, and even the root word for Friday, the end of the work week which promises fun and pleasure. But did you know that she actually presides over both the living and the dead? As such, she is responsible for the souls of half of the warriors who perish in a battle.

Despite this grim duty, Freyja is mainly honored as a goddess of beauty and love – forces more formidable than war and death – no doubt because of her exceptional pulchritude. Sometimes she rides the sky in her golden chariot drawn by two gray cats, and at other times she dons a falcon-skin cloak, enabling her to fly through the air like a bird.

Have you been too pragmatic that you have deemed beauty unnecessary as an ingredient in your own life? Beauty is a nurturing force and a healing function that all humans need. Remember that beauty offers you an authentic experience of the divine that can shake you to your core. May the story of the goddess Freyja remind you of its healing power. Acknowledge the power of beauty in your life.

I once asked a bird, “How is it that you fly in this gravity of darkness?” She responded, “Love lifts me.” — Hafiz

Kishijoten

Card of the day: KISHIJOTEN – Goddess of Protection

Protection. Beauty. The Arts. Those you love most are divinely protected.

The goddess Kishijoten is acknowledged as a protector of children in Japan, where mothers ceremonially invoke her to watch over their infants and keep misfortune away. Kishijoten is also associated with the arts and beauty, and even geishas, whom she is believed to also protect, since these gifted women practise arts ruled by her.

Kishijoten’s graceful attributes stand in stark contrast to those of Bishomon’s, the god of war. The desire for protection is a reflex reaction when confronted by the violence of battle. The goddess offers us hope that those we love most are watched over by divine forces. Claim this divine protection for your loved ones!

“But Jesus called them to Him and said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.’ ” Luke 18:16, NKJV

Isamba

Card of the day: ISAMBA- Goddess of the Night

The moon. Death. Cycles. You are where you are meant to be. Cultivate acceptance.

Isamba is considered as the moon goddess among the Issansu peoples of Tanzania. She is married to the sun god, and together they embarked on a contest to see which of them is the wisest. Isamba accidentally became the creator of death. Since then she has been associated with the cycles of life.

Just observe the moon with its predictable cycles of waxing to full, then full to waning. This moon cycle has long been associated with the cycles of life and death. Similarly, your life also goes through cycles of waxing and waning, although the stages may not be as clearly delineated at times. If you only realize that what was empty in your life will become full again, then it becomes “easier” for you to accept that all is as it should be in your life.

Nut, Egyptian goddess

Card of the day: NUT – The Celestial Vault

The sky. The stars. Protection. You are reborn from night each morning. Start anew.

Nut, whose name means “night,” is a mother goddess worshiped by the ancient Egyptians as the physical embodiment of the night sky. Paintings depict her as a dark-skinned, naked woman covered in stars, with her body sharply arched over the earth in protection. She is married to the god of the verdant earth, Geb.

A myth relates that the sun god, Ra, is born each morning from Nut’s womb. The rosy color of the sunrise is said to symbolize her blood as she pushes him out into the sky. It is also said that the dead are taken into Nut’s celestial vault, where the goddess would eternally protect and nurture them.

Have you been crushed, tossed, and turned by the trials of life? You have the power within you to recreate yourself again and again, if need be, as if a phoenix rising from the ashes. To paraphrase a Christian song based on Lamentations 3:22-23, “The steadfast love of the Lord (Divine Spirit, God, Universe, insert your term of awe and respect here) never ceases/ His mercies never come to an end/ They are new every morning/ Great is Thy faithfulness.”

You are renewed every morning indeed. Start anew with faith, hope, and love in your heart.

Hathor

Card of the day: HATHOR – The Golden One

Prosperity. Love. Fertility. Prosperity awaits you. Look for examples of it in action.

Hathor the Golden One – such is the designation of the ancient Egyptians for this goddess. She is the divinity considered powerful enough to address varied issues ranging from difficulties with love to difficulties with manifesting prosperity.

A goddess of fertility and plenty, Hathor is believed to be mother to the pantheon of Egyptian gods and goddesses. Honored as Mistress of Heaven, she is also identified with the Milky Way, that beautiful band of stars so visible on dark, moonless nights. She was so popular that at one point, she was served by 61 priestesses in her temple.

Hathor is petitioned for both personal and communal abundance, from help with a love affair to rituals invoking the goddess for the creation of a generous harvest to feed everyone.

Similarly, the proof of abundance is all around you. You limit your perception so severely if you think that abundance is just about money. If you have an abundance of health, wealth, love, joy, and peace of mind, then how rich you are indeed! Be the Golden One and manifest the true and lasting riches of abundance in your life and those of others.

“It is the nature of the Creative Mind to respond to us.” – Ernest Holmes

“But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.”
– Psalm 37:1, NKJV

Cimidye

Card of the day: CIMIDYE – Goddess of Vengeance

Suffering. Transcendence. Transformation. Your difficulties transform you. Take heart, for you will be vindicated.

Cimidye is a Tucuna Indian goddess of the Amazon. Her story is one of vengeance and transcendence. After she was deserted by her cruel husband in the deep forest, she encountered a spirit guide in the form of a large blue butterfly. Dragonflies are potent symbols of illusion and impermanence. In Zuni mythology, they are numinous shamanic creatures who act as intermediaries between the spiritual and physical worlds.

The dragonfly took pity upon Cimidye and magically transformed her into a dragonfly. They were able to take revenge upon her husband, thus freeing Cimidye from her marital vows.

In the midst of your own suffering and pain, know in your heart that these will change you for the better. If you feel that you have been the victim of unfairness or injustice, then know that you will eventually be vindicated.

“It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them.” – Deuteronomy 32:35, NIV

Kuan Yin + Isis oracle pulls

Today’s random pulls from my Kuan Yin Oracle & Isis Oracle, both by Alana Fairchild:

(L) Kuan Yin/Bamboo Moon card: This is all about Divine Timing. Sometimes you feel that “nothing” is happening in your life, your plans go awry, your best intentions fall flat. But listen: consider Divine Timing and the bamboo tree. It takes 5 years for its roots to ground so you see nothing much happening immediately after it is planted. But once it is its time to grow, the bamboo flourishes in great height and foliage in all its serene, majestic glory. When it is time, it will be time. Until then, be at peace, dear one.

(R) Isis/Serpent of Fire: Priestess of the Serpent Sisterhood card: This is all about awakening your Kundalini energy, or that raw, sexual/life-force energy from the base of your spine. Kundalini rises up to animate the rest of our bodymindspiritheart so that we can be creative and selfless in acting for the highest good of all. Let Isis help you harness this energy for your highest good. Om Mani Padme Hum.

Taken together, these 2 “random” card pulls today are saying simply this: The Divine Timing for raising your vibration/Kundalini energy is NOW. What are you waiting for?

She and He who have ears, let them hear. And act upon such promptings from the Universe.

You are blessed in order to be a blessing.

Demeter

Card of the day: DEMETER – The Mother

The seasons. Motherhood. Loss. Honor the divinity of your grief. Then spring will return.

(Deck: “Goddess Inspiration Oracle” by Kris Waldherr, Llewellyn Worldwide, 2007)

Demeter, Greek goddess of the harvest, is considered the mother archetype of the triple goddess consisting of maiden, mother, and crone. Her story explains the seasons and offers solace through the ages to mothers everywhere who are dealing with loss.

When Demeter’s daughter Persephone was abducted by Hades, god of the underworld, to become his bride, Demeter became inconsolable. She searched far and wide towards the ends of the earth for Persephone. When Demeter learned that Zeus allowed Hades to wed her daughter, grief and fury overcame the harvest goddess. So that the earth may reflect her mourning, Demeter put a halt to the flowering and ripening of plants, thus creating winter for the first time. A main ritual associated with Demeter, the Thesmophoria, allows women to work through pain and honor their grief, recognizing its goddess-like divinity.

Indeed, whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Pain and grief make you part of the human experience. Of course no one can quantify how much pain you are going through on account of your loss and suffering, but I believe that we need even these experiences to toughen our spine and put steel to our resolve. Just hang in there: honor your grief and then spring will return!

“Be patient and tough; someday this pain will be useful to you.” – Ovid, 43 BC
