Isis, the Great Mother Goddess

Card of the day: ISIS – Great Mother Goddess

Healing. Magic. Power. Your heart will be healed. Have faith.

(Deck: “Goddess Inspiration Oracle” by Kris Waldherr, 2007)

Isis is worshiped in Egypt as the universal great mother goddess, her name translating as “she of the throne,” indicating sovereignty. Isis is so powerful that she alone knows the secret name of Ra, the sun god.

Perhaps you already know the story of how Isis and Osiris loved each other, and then how Osiris’ jealous brother Set murdered Osiris. Osiris was cut up by Set into 14 pieces and these were scattered all over the earth. Grief-stricken Isis searched for all of OsirĂs and brought him.back to life. In one last act of love, Isis and Osiris conceived the falcon-headed god Horus.

Isis brings healing power and gentle comfort to you today, especially if you are forlorn from the loss of the beloved. You can still create life out of loss, like Isis’ mystical, creative resurrection of Osiris. Have faith!

“These things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” —
John 16:33 NKJV

Juno

Card of the day: JUNO – Optima Maximus

Protection. Motherhood. Marriage. You are watched over at all times.

(Deck: “Goddess Inspiration Oracle” by Kris Waldherr, 2007)

Juno is considered the Optima Maximus, meaning “best and greatest” of the goddesses by the ancient Romans. Juno ruled over all aspects of Roman life with her consort, the god Jupiter.

She watches over women from birth to death. It’s no wonder Roman women called their souls “juno” in honor of this great mother-goddess. As the patroness of marriage, Juno restored harmony between couples. One of her temples, though, was used as a shelter for women who needed sanctuary from cruel husbands.

To this day, many consider the month of June, named after the goddess, as the most auspicious time to marry. The peacock is sacred to Juno because the many eyes in its feathers are like the goddess’ ever-open eyes as she protects women.

This group, I trust, is not just about the good, fortunate things that happen to us. Let’s face it: abuse and cruelty can be found in some marriages, and a majority of the victims are women. If you are the victim of physical, emotional, financial, or any type of abuse in what was once a loving relationship, please remember that nobody – as in nobody – deserves to be hurt in any way. You have options. Please get help.

As for those of us who are blessed enough to thrive in gentle, nurturing relationships – remember to be grateful and to extend your loving example to your spheres of influence. If you suspect a domestic violence situation, then please give the affected person the courage to break free and start anew. Do not turn a blind eye or Juno’s eyes can see you, too.

Kuan Yin

Card of the day: KUAN YIN – Mother of Mercy

Compassion. Healing. Serenity. Become a channel for compassion.

(Deck: “Goddess Inspiration Oracle” by Kris Waldherr, 2007)

Kuan Yin is one of the most beloved deities in China, and she is said to personify “karuna,” the principle of boundless compassion and kindness. Considered to act as a guardian angel to humans, Kuan Yin is also known as the mother of mercy, mother of compassion and healing – and even for someone to say the name of the goddess brings protection and relief to those in need of her help.

Kuan Yin heals those who are sick in heart and body, paying special attention to mothers and children in distress, and even seafarers in storms. She has a temple on the mountain of Miao Feng Shan set upon a faraway island. As people pray to her, they shake rattles and other noisemakers to attract Kuan Yin’s notice.

Dear ones, the principle of “karuna,” that of boundless compassion and kindness, begins with how you treat yourself. What are the ways in which you can practice self-compassion and thus attain to the heights of mercy, like bodhisattva Kuan Yin does? Are you also extending your compassion to the people in your spheres of influence, knowing that love begets love?

I feel that this card appeared because somewhere in the fabric of your life, a fence needs mending or a soul (it could even be yours) needs tending. Be kind to yourself and others, and feel the lotus of love and compassion bloom brightly like a thousand suns within your bodymindspiritheart.

Stargazer Bles

I’m putting myself out there. Let Divine Spirit and the Universe find me. So once more, with feeling:

Stargazer Bles is about empowerment and compassion.

Angel readings, oracle readings, crystal therapy, Reiki (all of which I offer) or any other healing modality are just self-reminders of our inherent capacity to balance ourselves and solve our “problems.”

Even so-called problems, as we know, could from another perspective also be avenues for bodymindheartspirit growth and enlightenment.

But wait, here’s the thing: we are already enlightened! Our Mission, then, is to awaken the rest of our human and sentient family towards luminous love, sustainability, and selfless compassion.

“Compassion is the radicalism of our time.” – His Holiness, The Dalai Lama

“We are the love of creation.” – Kuan Yin

So help me God.

Gwenhywfar of Wales

Card of the day: GWENHYWFAR- First Lady of Wales

Leadership. Wisdom. Water. You are a wise ruler of your realm.

(Deck: “Goddess Inspiration Oracle” by Kris Waldherr, 2007)

Gwenhywfar is honored as the first lady of the Welsh islands and seas. A mermaid goddess, Gwenhywfar is known in Germany as Cunneware, meaning “female wisdom.” However, in medieval legends, she is also known as Guinevere, the unhappy queen of King Arthur.

Nevertheless, she is the symbol of power in Wales, so successive would-be kings were always attempting to abduct her. Actually, though, it is Gwenhywfar’s power which is the real source of influence within the kingdom, not some forced romantic union.

Gwenhywfar is saying to you today: You are a wise ruler of your realm. Your previous knowledge and life experiences have prepared you for this moment, this majesty, this self-mastery. You’ve got this, dear one, or if you don’t, then you’re certainly already on your way!

Special tip: How do you change an oracle-card message into a personal affirmation? For example, here the card says: “You are a wise ruler of your realm.” Just change the pronouns to first-person: “I am a wise ruler of MY realm.”

Whoever has ears…

Re: my “forecast”

Hello, Stargazer Bles denizens! As I write this, It’s May 15th, the Feast Day of St. Dymphna, patron saint of those with mental and emotional illnesses. That’s beside the point, of course, and right now I am possessed of a sound mind as I make my next statements.

You’ve read what Resti has to say, which is basically framed in the language of Astrology, which in turn is basically a study of patterns and cycles. Now let’s look at what the languages of the Tarot and the Archangels have to say about where the Philippines is headed.

The format of the 4-card Tarot spread is Past-Present-Future-Synthesis/Summary. Therefore, from L-R, I drew the following: Ace of Cups (past) – Knight of Swords (present) – X Pentacles (future) – The Lovers (synthesis/summary). Please see the photo below.

The Ace of Cups (cups=water=spirit, blessings) in the past position indicates the dynamic of abundance v. loss. True enough, the Philippines is rich in human and natural resources yet it has also weathered a lot of losses, be they nature-caused or man-made.

The Knight of Swords (swords=fire=passion, creativity) in the present position shows the dynamic of constancy v. “moodiness.” As a people, we are prodigiously tenacious in upholding family values yet surprisingly “easily swayed” by passing fads, fancies, and personalities. Could the results of the recently concluded elections be proof of this?

In spite of this, the X of Pentacles (pentacles=earth=money, resources) in the future position presages prosperity for the country. Divine Spirit still looks after its people faithfully, supplying their needs according to its riches and glory. So yes, there is still hope for the Philippines materially, but who is not to say it is time for hope spiritually as well?

The synthesis/summary card turned out to be the Major Arcana card, The Lovers – The Gemini card. This resonates synchronistically with the Gemini birth of the first Philippine republic on June 12, 1898. On the most mundane level, I see a “traditional” couple – a man and a woman – who.shall rule the Philippines wisely, equitably, and reliably in the near future.

Metaphysically, The Lovers card could indicate the union of the Divine Masculine and the Divine Feminine in each of us, attaining for our nation the unity of opposites that a truly measured and sagacious rule requires. Remember the Babaylans, our local medicine folk-shamans? In effect, we will rule our individual selves effectively so we can rule others peaceably in our respective spheres of influence. What may seem like idealism now may very well be the reality of the future.

Finally, from the Archangels, we are also blessed to have the guidance of Gabriel, Haniel, and Ariel.
>Archangel Gabriel- Leadership- “It is time for you to assume your leadership power and position, and lovingly guide others.”
>Archangel Haniel- Passion- “Trust and follow your renewed passion in your love life and career.”
>Archangel Ariel- Spread Your Wings! – “Do not hold back right now. The timing is perfect, and you are ready to soar!”

“Whoever has ears, let them hear.” – Matthew 11:15, NIV

Sekhmet

Card of the day: SEKHMET – The Mighty One

Enchantment. Strength. The Underworld. Let your darker emotions bring you strength.

(Deck: “Goddess Inspiration Oracle” by Kris Waldherr, 2007)

Sekhmet is the Goddess of the Underworld and is considered the patroness of mummification. Egyptians see this embalming process as a magical ritual that enabled the body to live forever. Sekhmet is often portrayed as carrying an ankh, a vibrant symbol of eternal life.

Sekhmet, called The Mighty One in Egypt, is also often depicted as a lion-headed woman who delights in war, violence, and enchantment – surely forceful energies used to deploy change in the world.

Similarly, you and I have dark emotions shading our hearts. Are you afraid of them? Or do you choose to use these emotions to give you strength in facing the challenges before you?

In your infinite godlike wisdom, you know that the power of anger and rage can either motivate you into action or drag you to destruction. Henceforth, cultivate the kind of RIGHTEOUS anger or rage that makes you want to actively do something with strength to help alleviate the injustice done towards yourself, your family member or friend, the environment, and the world.

“My mouth shall speak wisdom, and the meditation of my heart shall give understanding. I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will disclose my dark saying on the harp.” – Psalm 49:3-4, NKJV
